Turlarda teknoloji kullanımı : Turistler ve turist rehberleri gözüyle bir değerlendirme

Özet
Teknoloji, günlük yaşamın yanı sıra işletme faaliyetlerini de önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Bu nedenle, seyahat acentaları ve rehberler, bir turu daha etkin yönetebilmek için
teknolojiden uzak duramamaktadırlar. Turist rehberlerinin ve turistlerin turlarda teknoloji
uygulaması ve kullanımına dönük bakış açısının değerlendirilmesi ve turistlerin teknoloji uygulamalarına ilişkin beğeni ve eleştirileri hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak amacıyla bir
araştırma yapılmıştır. Veriler, 2018 yılı Mart ayında 21 turist rehberinden ve 2018 yılının
Haziran ve Temmuz aylarında 31 turistten görüşme formu yaklaşımı ile toplanmıştır. Veriler içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Görüşmeyi kabul eden turist rehberlerinin teknolojik
uygulamalardan mikrofon sistemi, canlandırma, 3D animasyon sistemi, interaktif inceleme
uygulamalarının kullanımına dönük olumlu bir tutum sergilediği tespit edilmiştir. Buna
karşın, rehberlerin, turistlerin “audio- guide” kullanımları ve “sanal asistan” uygulamalarına ise olumsuz baktıkları belirlenmiştir. Turistlerin ise turlarda sınırlı ölçüde teknoloji kullanımına ve mikrofon sistemine sıcak baktıkları, turlarında önceliklerinin turist rehberleri
olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışma, turist rehberlerinin teknolojiyi iletişim, anlatım ve tekrar
anlatım süreçlerinde ana araç olarak değil yardımcı ve tamamlayıcı bir araç olarak görmeleri gerektiği önerisi ile son bulmaktadır.
Technology has a significant impact on business activities as well as daily life. For this reason, travel agencies and guides are not far from technology to manage a tour more effectively. A study was conducted to evaluate the tourist guides and tourists’ perspective on the application and use of technology in the tours and to have information about the appreciation and criticism of tourists about the technology applications. Data were collected via interview form approach from 21 professional tour guides which was held in March 2018 and from 31 tourist in June- July in 2018. The data were subjected to content analysis. It has been determined that the tour guides accepting the interview have a positive attitude towards the use of microphone system, vitalization, 3D animation system, interactive examination applications from technological applications. However, it was determined that the guides were negative about the use of “audio-guides” and “virtual assistants” by tourists. It was determined that tourists were positive about the use of microphone system and limited use of technology during tours and their priorities were tour guides. The study concludes with the suggestion that tour guides should consider the technology as an auxiliary and complementary tool, not as the main tool in communication, narration and narration processes.
