dc.description.abstractÖZET İSKENDERUN KÖRFEZİNDE SANAYİ KURULUŞLARININ NEDEN OLDUĞU HAVA VE TOPRAK KİRLİLİĞİ Bu çalışmada Demir - Çelik Endüstrisi, gübre ve çimento fabrikaları ile çok sayıda haddehanenin yer aldığı, Akdeniz'in önemli körfezlerinden biri olan İskenderun Körfezinde, bu sanayii kuruluşlarının neden olduğu hava kirliliği partiküler maddelerdeki metal içeriği yönünden araştırılarak, aynı istasyonlarda bu metallerin toprakta zamanla birikimi belirlenmeye çalışıldı.. Kirlilik ölçümleri için 4 istasyon oluşturuldu. Bunlardan biri organize sanayi bölgesinin tam ortasında bulunan Türkiye'nin en büyük Demir - Çelik Endüstrisinin (İSDEMİR) içinde, ikinci istasyon bu bölgenin kuzeyinde hem haddehanelerin hem de yerleşim alanlarının bulunduğu Payas ilçesinde, üçüncü istasyon organize sanayii bölgesinin güneyinde İskenderun şehir merkezinde, dördüncü ise Üniversite kampüsünde oluşturuldu. Haziran 1998 - Haziran 1999 dönemleri arasında 13 ay boyunca low-volume cihazı ile aylık periyotlarda havadaki partiküler maddeler nitroselüloz filtreler üzerinde toplandı. Aynı istasyonlara Mayıs 1998'de bırakılan topraklardan Haziran, Temmuz, Ağustos, Eylül 1998 ve Şubat, Nisan, Haziran 1999 dönemlerinde örnekler alındı. Hava ve toprak örneklerinin analizleri ICP - AES cihazı ile yapıldı. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, tüm istasyonlarda partiküler madde içerisinde Ag, Al, Ba, Ca, Co, Cr, Cu, K, Li, Mg Mn, Na, Ni, Cd, Fe, Pb (Payas hariç) ve Zn metalleri bulundu. Sanayi Bölgesi ve Payas istasyonlarında metal derişimlerinin yüksek, buna karşılık kampus ve şehir merkezinde daha düşük olduğu gözlendi. Ni, Fe ve Ba elementlerinin tümünün derişimlerinin Sanayi Bölgesi ve Payas'ta ve Pb'un ise şehir merkezinde sınır değerinin üzerine çıktığı saptandı. 1999, sayfaen_US
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT AIR AND SOIL POLLUTION CAUSED INDUSTRIAL ZONE IN İSKENDERUN BAY In this study investigated was the air pollution with an aspect to metals in particulate matter caused by a number of industries such as a huge Iron and Steel Complex, a Cement Factory, some Fertilizer plants in addition to a number of smaller steel mills situated in the İskenderun Gulf, one of the most important bays in the Mediterranean. To this end four air pollution sampling stations were established. First one was in the vicinity of the biggest Turkish Iron and Steel Works, ISDEMIR, located in the middle of a crowded industrial zone. The second one was in PAY AS, north of ISDEMIR, accomodating both industrial and residential areas. The third sampling station was located in the center of iskenderun town, south of these two industrial zones and the fourth one was established in the University Campus area. Since 1998, particulate matters in the ambient air were monthly collected with low - volume equipment. The samples were analysed by ICP - AES instruments. According to the results of analysis, where 15 elements were investigated and their concentrations determined in particulate matter, Ag, Al, Ba, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Li, Mn, Na, Ni and Pb elements in all four stations, and Pb excluding Payas have been detected. It is observed that metal concentration in industrial zone and Payas were high, while relatively low in the campus area and the city center. The concentrating of Ni, Fe, Ba in industrial zone and Payas and Pb concentration in the city center were found over the limit values. 1999, pagesen_US
