In this study, asymmetric tridentate and tetradentate were synthesized by condensation reaction of 2-aminobenzylamine with 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde (H2L1) and 1- hydroxy-2-acetonafton (HL2). The structure of ligands have been investigated by analytical and spectroscopic (1H-NMR, 13C NMR, LC-MS, FT-IR) methods. Schiff base complexes with copper(II) and iron(III) have been prepared and characterized by magnetic susceptibility, FT-IR, UV-Vis. and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The results suggested that the Schiff bases are coordinated to the metal ions through the phenolic oxygens and azomethine nitrogen to give mononuclear complexes. According to obtained results it was found that experimental and therotical results are in agreement with each other. The electrochemical behaviors of Schiff bases and their metal complexes have been investigated by Cyclic voltammetry. Cyclic voltammetry studies were carried out in a conventional three electrode set up, open to the atmosphere, by using CHI604E model electrochemical analyzer. For this aim, 0.01 g sample was dissolved in 50 mL 0.15 M LiClO4/MeCN, The counter and working electrodes were a platinum foil with 2 cm2 surface area and Ag/AgClelectrode was used as the reference. Cyclic voltammogram was recorded at a scan rate 50 mV/s. Key words: 2-aminobenzlyamin, Metal Complex, Schiff Base
