Özet
Hatay ilinin Amik Ovası'nda yer alan Kızılkaya Tepesi barındırdığı arkeolojik kalıntılar kapsamında sosyal hafıza ve kült peyzajı kavramları üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. İnsan topluluklarına ait M.Ö. 4. binyıldan M.S. 3. yüzyıla kadar tarihlenen gömü ve tapınım amaçlı yapı kalıntılarından hareketle, aynı lokasyonun uzun bir zaman boyunca toplum hafızasında sahip olduğu simgesel nitelikler doğal ve kültürel çerçeveden ele alınmışlardır. Coğrafi olarak çevresinden izole yüksek bir noktanın, tarımsal araziler ile höyük tipi arkeolojik yerleşimlerimlerin çok sayıda olduğu bu peyzajda, M.Ö. 4. binyıla tarihlenen yapı kalıntıları, anıtsal nitelikli dolmen mezarları ve devamında M. Ö. 2. binyıla tarihlendirilen anıtsal yapı kalıntıları ve geç dönemlere ait kaya mezarları yaklaşık dört bin yıllık bir süreç boyunca Kızılkaya Tepesinin ritüel nitelikli karakterinin sosyal hafızada canlı kalmış olabileceğini göstermektedir.
In this thesis, the archaeological remains at Kızılkaya Ridge in the Amuq Valley of Hatay is evaluated under the theorethical framework of social memory and ritual landscapes. Human activity at the ridge extends to a long timespan from 4th millenium B.C. to 3rd century A.D. proved that same location had a significant value for the cultural memory of past socities and its symbolic values were evaluated from cultural and landscape perspectives. As a geographic location isolated from its sorrounding environment defined by agricultural fields and tell sites, Kızılkaya Ridge hosts building remains and dolmens from 4th Millennium BC onwards, remains of monumental buildings dated to the 2nd Millennium BC and rock tombs belong to Rome-Byzantine periods. This testifies that the same location was used for ritual purposes for almost four thousands years pointing to its importance in the social memory of past socities.
