Özet
Bu çalışmada kırsal kesim ve şehir merkezlerinde yaşayan farklı sosyoekonomik düzeye sahip çocukların konuşma becerilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında Hatay İli İskenderun İlçe merkezi ve köyündeki okullarda 8. sınıfta öğrenim gören ve rastgele örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 72 öğrencinin konuşma becerileri belirlenmiştir. Bu amaçla öğrencilerin seviyelerine uygun olarak "insan ve doğa" konusuna ilişkin yaptıkları konuşmaların video kaydı alınmış ve "Konuşma Değerlendirme Formu"nda yer alan kriterlere göre değerlendirilmiştir. Ölçme aracından elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin konuşma becerilerinin orta düzeyde olduğu ve kent merkezindeki öğrencilerin beceri düzeylerinin kırsal bölgelerdeki okullara oranla nispeten daha yüksek düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir.
In this study, it was aimed to examine the speaking skills of children from different socioeconomic levels living in rural areas and city centers. For this purpose, speaking skills of 72 8th grade students who were studying in the schools in Hatay Province Iskenderun District center and village in the 2020-2021 academic year and were determined by random sampling method were determined. For this purpose, video recordings of the speeches made by the students on the subject of "human and nature" in accordance with their level were taken and evaluated according to the criteria in the "Speech Evaluation Form". The data obtained from the measurement tool were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. As a result of the research, it was determined that the speaking skills of the students were moderate and the skill levels of the students in the city center were relatively higher than the schools in the rural areas.
