dc.description.abstractDoğrudan yabancı yatırımlar, özellikle gelişmekte olan ülkeler için makro sorunların çözümünde ve ekonomik büyümenin sağlanmasında önemli bir role sahiptir. Doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar en çok gelişmiş ülkelerde bulunmaktadır. Gelişmekte olan ülkeler ise doğrudan yabancı yatırımlardan yeterli pay alamamaktadırlar. Türkiye gibi gelişmekte olan ülkelerde ekonomik sorunların başında kaynak yetersizliği gelmektedir. Buna rağmen, Türkiye'nin doğrudan yabancı yatırımları çekmede yeterince başarılı olduğu görülmektedir.Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'nin ekonomik büyümeyi sağlayabilmesi için kaynak yetersizliğini doğrudan yabancı yatırımlarla giderebileceğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalışma, Türkiye'ye gelen doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımları ile Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla ve Yurtiçi Yatırımlar gibi bazı değişkenler arasında bir ilişkinin olup olmadığını incelemektedir.Çalışmanın ampirik bölümünde, Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) analizi kullanılarak yabancı doğrudan yatırımlar ile temel makroekonomik değişkenler arasında ilk aşamada uzun dönemli ilişki, İkinci aşamada ise Granger nedensellik analizi kullanılarak kısa ve uzun dönemli ilişkiler araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Türkiye'ye gelen doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımlarının özellikle gayri safi yurtiçi hâsılada artışa yol açması ve yurtiçi yatırımları dışlamaması yönüyle ekonomik teori ile tutarlıdır.ANAHTAR KELİMELERDoğrudan yabancı yatırımlar, Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla, Eşbütünleşme, ARDL Sınır Testi, Granger Nedensellik Testien_US
dc.description.abstractForeign direct investments have a significant role in the solutions of macro problems and maintenance of the economic growth, specifically for developing countries. Foreign direct investments are mostly present in developed countries. Developing countries on the other hand, get very little share from foreign direct investments. In developing countries like Turkey, among the leading economic problems the lack of resources comes first. Despite this fact, it can be observed that Turkey has been successful in attracting foreign investments.This study aims at scrutinizing that if Turkey can overcome the lack of resources by using foreign investments in order to realize economic growth. To accomplish this goal, this study looks at whether there is a relationship between foreign direct investments coming to Turkey and variables such as Gross Domestic Product and Domestic Investments.In the empirical part of the study, utilizing Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) analysis in the first phase, the long term relationships among foregign direct investments coming to Turkey and the main macroeconomic variables, and in the second phase using Granger casuality analysis both short term and long term relationships were explored. The results of the study are alligned with the theory in that the foreign direct investments coming to Turkey specifically casusing an increase in the gross domestic product and not ostracising the domestic investments.KEY WORDSForeign Direct Investments, Gross Domestic Product, Cointegration, ARDL Bounds Test, Granger-Causality Test.en_US
