This study was carried out to determine the potential of weed seeds contamination in the wheat grain harvested in Şanlıurfa province in 2019. In the studies carried out in the wheat samples taken from 188 villages in Sanliurfa province, weed seed species, the amount and rates of contamination, and the frequency were determined. According to this, it has been determined that 31 genus and 33 weed species belonging to 15 families, of which 1 monocotyledon (Poaceae), 14 of which were dicotyledonous, were contamined in Şanlıurfa province. The most common weed species mixed in wheat samples belongs to the Poaceae family. Among the districts in Şanlıurfa province, weeds mixed with wheat grains; In terms of quantity (number/kg) and weight (g/kg), it was found to be at the highest level in Harran district, and in terms of species (number/kg) in Haliliye district. When 1 kg wheat samples were examined in Şanlıurfa province, it was determined that Sinapis arvensis was the most mixed weed species with 100,095 number/kg. This species was followed by Avena sterilis (71,254 number/kg), Convolvulus arvensis (53,194 number/kg), Sorghum halepense (33.939 number/kg), Phalaris sp. (21,758 number/kg), Trifolium sp. (16,024 number/kg) and Vaccaria pyramidata (15,197 number/kg). When the weight and mixing ratio of weeds were examined, it was determined that Avena sterilis was the first with 2.015 g and 24.788%. This species was followed by C. arvensis (0,721 g ve 8,869%), Hordeum sp. (0,649 g ve 7,984%), S. arvensis (0,538 g ve 6,618%), Vicia sativa (0,355 g ve 4,121%), Secale cereale (0,216 g 2,6579%) ve Silybum marianum (0,231 g ve 2,621%). When the frequency of occurrence (%) is analyzed; weed seeds with a prevalence (CR) above 50% of the collected samples, respectively; A. sterilis % (73,241) and S. arvensis (59,426%).
