Özet

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect on improving the vocabulary of cartoons. For this purpose, TRT Children and Minika followed by a total of 24 cartoons published during the three days of children's channels were examined in terms of vocabulary. With this research document analysis was carried out using the model of qualitative research design direction. Cartoons of the vocabulary effect of the total word count when assessing on the number of different words, different word rate, number of statements, proverbs number, number of repetitions, said mold count, slang and specific number of names are based. According to the survey examined a total of 17 238 words in 24 cartoons, it was identified in 2458 in different words. Thus, different word rate according to the total number of words is determined as 14,2%. The research results statement along the lines of the films 262, 3 proverb, 31 doublings, 1318 said mold, slang expressions 2, 1166 it was determined that a special name used. Also to be taught to children in the 0-6 age range was determined to be the most common words verb compared with commonly used words.
