Özet
Bu araştırma, Kahramanmaraş merkezinde ve dokuz ilçesinde görev yapan ikiyüz yönetici üzerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmada öncelikle yönetici eğitiminin önemine, bu konuda eğitim veren eğitim merkezlerine ve bu eğitimde kullanılan metotlara yer verilmiştir. Daha sonra Kahramanmaraş'taki yöneticilerin çeşitli konularda eğitime ilişkin görüşlerini saptamak amacıyla bir anket uygulanmıştır. Bu bağlamda yöneticilikle ilgili ,okutulan konular yöneticiliğe hazırlayıcı olmakta mıdır? Yöneticilik konusunda bir eğitim gerekir mi? Bu eğitimin yöntemi ve süresine olmalıdır? Bu eğitim, yöneticiye ne gibi yararlar sağlar? Bu eğitimin amacı ne olmalıdır? Kimler bu eğitim programına katılmalıdır? Kurumlar bu eğitim programlarını desteklemekte midir? Bu gibi soruların,cevapları aranmış ve sonuçta bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır.
This article is based on a survey carried out on 200 public managers working in the City of Kahramanmaraş and its nine districts to provide a concrete knowledge about: the importance of managers' education, the education centers in the field and, the methods used in such an education programme. To do this, the authors -or the researchers at the same time- have applied a questionnaire to the managers to determine their ideas and views about education on different issues. Through analyzing the collected data the following questions have been tried to be answered: What are the managers's thoughts about the universities' curriculum especially for the issues relating to the management? Can they be seen as really preparatory lessons or topics for the students to be the administrators? Are the managers in need of an education on management issues? If they require, what kind of educational method must be used and in what duration? What should be the aim of such an education programme? Who should be accepted to such an education programme? Should the different institutions give support for the programmes? So, the findings of the research might not be unexpected but they shows the micro dynamics that produce existing situation. Lastly the authors have drawn a general evaluation of the subject by using the findings of the study and with a perspective of the related literature.
