dc.description.abstractIÖZETBu araştırma, Antakya'daki avlulu evlerin tespiti, Antakya'daki ev- avluilişkisinin tarihsel gelişiminin incelenmesi ve bunun yaşam tarzını nasıl etkilediğininsaptanması amacıyla yapılmıştır.Araştırma boyunca, Antakya'daki avlulu evlerin, Güney Anadolu, KuzeyKıbrıs, Suriye ve Güney Avrupa'daki birçok ev ile aynı özellikleri taşıdığı görülmüştür.Bulgulardan da anlaşılacağı gibi, bu bölgede çeşitli medeniyetler, bir çok güzel izbırakmıştır. Bu çalışmada da göreceğiniz üzere, farklı kaynaklardan bulunan vearaştırılan tarihi ev ve ev bahçeleri, Antakya'nın ne denli özel bir kent olduğununkanıtıdır.Antik Çağ Yunan evlerinden tutun da, Roma, Helen ve en sonunda daOsmanlı-Arap mimarisinin karışımına kadar, bu evlerde her türlü özelliği görmekmümkündür. Tarihi boyunca, özellikle de Roma ve Bizans döneminde dört defa başkentolan Antakya, ne yazık ki Osmanlı devrinde hiç önemsenmemiş, hatta bir köy halinegetirilip bir kenara itilmiştir. Suriye'nin Halep'e bağlı bir sancağı durumunda kalarak,önceki ihtişamlı konumunu tamamen yitirmiştir. Bir kez daha tarihin tekerrür ettiğinigörmekteyiz. Çünkü son 10 yıldır, sürekli turist akınına uğrayan kentimizde, yetkililerinve halkın da desteği ile çok güzel çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Bunlara örnek olarak, restoreedilen ve eski bir Antakya evi olan Gaziler Derneği'ni; bunun yanında KatolikKilisesi'ni ve restorasyondan sonra Mimarlar Odası olarak kullanılan diğer bir eskiAntakya evini de gösterebiliriz.Antakya'nın birçok medeniyete kucak açmış, farklı kültürlerin en güzelözelliklerini alarak içine sindirmiş ve kendine has insancıl dokusunu, hoşgörüsünü dehiçbir zaman kaybetmemiş olduğu, bu çalışmayla bir kez daha ortaya çıkmıştır.2006, 76 sayfaen_US
dc.description.abstractIIABSTACTThis study was performed to define the courted houses in Antioch and toinvestigate relationship between house and court, than find that how they affected eachother into the lifetime.During the study period, we saw many of courted houses which has beenprotected. Also in South Anatolia, North Cyprus, Syria and South Europe had shownmany similarities between Old Antioch Courted Houses. In this place, differentcivilizations had left a lot of beautiful footprints. As you?ll see from this study,investigations from different foreign sources show us how Antioch and its courtedhouses are very special. From Ancient Greek houses to Rome and Hellene, at lest themixed of Ottoman- Arabian architecture, we can see many similarities with AncientAntioch Courted Houses. Along its history, especially the reign of Rome and Byzantine,Antioch had been capital city four times. But unfortunately, in the reign of Ottoman,this city had been lost its importance completely. Also had been a village that bound toa Syria?s city of Aleppo. But now, we see that the history?s repeat again. Last ten years,Antioch city?s full of tourists and with help of people, a lot of duty had made. The`Association of War Veterans? ; the `Catholic Church? and the `Chamber of Architects?are examples of Ancient Antioch Courted Houses which using after restoration .With this study, we can say that Antioch had never lost its humanism andtolerance when taken all beauties of different culture?s special features with embracedall different civilizations inside.2006, 76 Papersen_US
