Özet
Bu çalışmada, Mersin, Adana, Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, Şanlıurfa, Hatay, Kilis ve Osmaniye illerinden 2003 ve 2004 kuzulama sezonunda toplanan 550 yavru atmış koyun kan serumu Chlamydophila abortus'a karşı oluşan antikorlar yönünden indirekt enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) ve mikrokomplement fıkzasyon (mCFT) ile incelendi. Abort yapmış koyun kan serumlarına ilave olarak, 50 abort yapmamış koyundan alman kan serumu negatif kontrol olarak kullanıldı. İncelenen serum örneklerinin 107'sinde (% 19.5) ELISA, 16Tinde (% 29.3) mCFT ile pozitiflik saptandı. Sağlıklı koyunlarda ELISA ile pozitiflik saptanamazken, mCFT ile 8 (% 16.0) serum örneği pozitif bulundu. Seropozitiflik oranları Kahramanmaraş'da % 30, Hatay'da % 27, Mersin'de % 23.5, Kilis'te % 20, Gaziantep % 16.8, Şanlıurfa'da % 16.7, Osmaniye'de % 9.5, Adıyaman'da % 5.0 ve Adana'da % 2.5 olarak belirlendi.
In this study, five hundred and fifty serum samples collected from aborted sheep sera from the nine cities (Mersin, Adana, Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, Şanlıurfa, Hatay, Kilis, and Osmaniye) in 2003-2004 lambing season were tested for antibodies against Chlamydophila abortus by indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and microcomplement fixation test (mCFT). In addition to aborted sheep sera, 50 sheep sera from a flock having no abort history were used as control. One hundred and seven (19.5 %) and 161 (29.3 %) of the 550 serum samples tested were detected to be positive with ELISA and mCFT, respectively. Although no seropositivity was detected by ELISA, 8 (16 %) sheep sera were positive by mÇFT in healthy sheep. The seropositivity rates were 30 % in Kahramanmaraş, 27 % in Hatay, 23.5 % in Mersin, 20 % in Kilis, 16.8 % in Gaziantep, 16.7 % in Şanlıurfa, 9.5 % in Osmaniye, % 5.0 in Adıyaman, and 2.5 % in Adana.
